Extensive operational and investment experience is the foundation of the Cava strategy, process and Team. To complement our leadership and core Venture Partners, we have assembled additional resources to actively assist in deal flow, due diligence and portfolio company development. Members of this Ecosystem have themselves founded, led, built, consulted to and invested in numerous businesses at various stages of growth. Such a diverse group of talent eliminates a common issue many venture firms encounter; inadequate partner coverage for the portfolio, making it nearly impossible to add considerable value. To this end, the Cava Approach is designed specifically to make us available to every entrepreneur, adding value above and beyond traditional venture firms.

The Ecosystem is currently comprised of over 20 executives with over 300 years of pertinent experience as industry, functional and strategic specialists. Included are former entrepreneurs, founding members and current and former senior executives from leading public and private organizations such as Instinet, Priceline, GE, Screaming Media, CNET, Gartner, G4 (Tech TV), Snyder Communications, TransPerfect, Young & Rubicam and ISE. Additionally, we have deep consulting experience, highlighted by former partners and practice leaders from Booz Allen, McKinsey and Co., Accenture, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Modem Media, IBM and Scient.

To enhance our investment expertise, we feature current and former venture and private equity partners, investment bankers, corporate venture executives, hedge fund partners, executives from prominent financial services firms and many successful Angel investors. We are always looking for additional talented experts who share our passion for working with start-ups.

Cava has also affiliated with many leading firms in areas that supplement our skills in order to make sure we have access to best-in-class products, services and resources for our portfolio companies. This includes technology, marketing, brand development and human capital partners.

In addition to the many resources we make available to our entrepreneurs, we maintain a wide range of relationships throughout the capital value chain. We regularly coordinate with some of the largest, most established venture capital and private equity firms in the country, sharing deal flow, ideas and advice. Furthermore, our elite investors include select high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and co-investment vehicles.
